    For wedding cake tasting in San Diego, Flavorful Dessert Atelier offers two tasting boxes — the Wedding Cake Tasting Box ($70) and the Dessert Table Tasting Box ($50). Both are curated by our pastry chef, picked up from our kitchen at 3425 Hancock St, Unit 18, and fully credited toward your order when you book a wedding cake over $750 or a dessert table over $650.

    A curated assortment of our most popular dessert table pieces. The desserts and flavors are always chosen by our pastry chef. Tiramisu is part of this box.

    The credit applies to the menu price of your order — setup, delivery, rentals and tax are not included. Prices updated October 2026.

    Tasting boxes are made as standard and cannot be adapted for allergies or dietary needs, including gluten-free or vegan. For a gluten-free wedding cake, you can order a 6-inch gluten-free cake to taste instead, $90.

    Order your box

    Tell us your date and which box you would like. Boxes are prepared for weekends, which fill quickly — reserve two to four months ahead, or earlier.

    Pick up or meet

    Collect it on Saturday or Sunday, by appointment, at Flavorful Dessert Atelier, 3425 Hancock St, Unit 18, or meet Anton at a local coffee shop to taste together.

    Taste together

    Taste within 3 days, unhurried, at home or with Anton. Keep the box refrigerated.

    Design together

    We meet in person or on Google Meet to design your cake or table around the flavors you loved.

    Plan your tasting early. Most couples taste 4–8 months before the wedding, once the venue and guest count are set, so there is time to design without hurry.

    Pickup

    Pickup or a tasting with Anton

    Tasting boxes are picked up on Saturday or Sunday, by appointment, at Flavorful Dessert Atelier, 3425 Hancock St, Unit 18, San Diego, CA 92110. We confirm the time when you order. If you would like to talk things through, Anton can meet you at a local coffee shop in San Diego to go through the tasting together and answer your questions. We do not deliver or ship tasting boxes.

    How much does a tasting box cost?
    The Wedding Cake Tasting Box is $70 and the Dessert Table Tasting Box is $50. When you book, the full cost of the box is credited toward your final order — on wedding cakes over $750 and dessert tables over $650.
    What counts toward the $750 and $650?
    The menu price of your cake or dessert table. Setup, delivery, rentals and tax are not included in the total.
    Can we choose the flavors in the box?
    The desserts and flavors in each box are always curated by our pastry chef, to show our most-loved cakes and desserts. Every flavor on our menu remains open to you when we design your cake or table.
    How far ahead should we order?
    As early as you can. Tasting boxes are prepared for weekend pickup by appointment, and weekends fill quickly, so we suggest reserving yours two to four months ahead, or earlier. Most couples taste 4–8 months before the wedding, once the venue and guest count are set.
    How long does the box keep?
    Keep it refrigerated and taste within 3 days. Each piece is best a few minutes out of the refrigerator.
    Do you deliver or ship tasting boxes?
    No. Tasting boxes are picked up on Saturday or Sunday, by appointment, at Flavorful Dessert Atelier, 3425 Hancock St, Unit 18, San Diego. If you have questions, Anton can instead meet you at a local coffee shop to go through the tasting together.
